Fantastic smoky topaz earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each?sterling silver earring is comprised of a hand carved smoky topaz link that forms the shape of a fantastic flying insect hanging from a complimentary topper. The 3-dimenstional stone forms the head, body and wings, and?exhibits a?semi-translucent?rich, deep brown hue. Sterling silver wirework curls around the back to form 6 legs and accents the beady eyes, while subtle carving on the topaz provides even more realistic details. Finishing the design is a round topaz bead topper, featuring a faceted surface, which hangs?from a simple earring wire at the top. The earrings dangle with lovely movement, framing the face beautifully. Both gorgeous and fun, these wonderful flying insect earrings would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurement:?Each?earring hangs approximately 1 3/4" long (including the wire at the top), and measures about 3/4" wide, and is about 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the smoky topaz stones or to the sterling silver findings.?
