"This is such a fun object! It suggests its function through its own form. A matzah, matzah plate...I do that a lot and it always strikes me with such a sense of whimsy and surprise. The surface texture of the matzah, when it is interpreted in cast metal, also creates a totally unexpected beauty. I love that it comes with a bag for hiding so it creates a ritual for kids and a special memory of family events."
